The redefined Golf GTI 7.5 is more than just a precise, agile spaceship.

The Volkswagen brand has reimagined the Golf GTI and made the MK7.5 a powerful beaut.
The Golf GTI is mostly known for its speed and “Vrrpha” sound which makes it safe to say that the car has an attention seeking attitude. However, the car has been improved.

The car feels comfortable and again the word precise comes up. The new VW mk7.5 enhances the drivers’ concentration to make sure that its brilliant handling is felt and enjoyed. The car sounds awesome of course leaving no excuse for you to push down that acceleration peddle.

The drive is swift and the gear shifts are hardly felt. As you drive the car you will realise the clear view you get from the drivers’ seat with the small windows behind the mirrors.
The safety features have been dramatically improved as they now include knee air bags, although this may be a new safety regulation which requires all vehicles to have it. Should the car crash head on the engine immediately drops down to prevent it from pushing the dash board into the driver and passengers’ chest.

This is the first series production Volkswagen with Proactive Occupant Protection (similar to Mercedes-Benz Pre-Safe), which will close the windows and retract the safety belts to remove excess slack if the potential for a forward crash is detected. Seat belt retraction in a crash situation was also a feature on the mk6 for the front two seat belts. The front two belts would retract if it was buckled in, however if the occupant is relatively light, the seat belt would be gradually extended in a forward crash situation.

Also this will be the first series production Volkswagen with multi-collision brake system to automatically brake the car after an accident in order to avoid a second collision.
The car has a lot of optional features such as adaptive cruise control, collision avoidance system (Front Assist) with City Emergency Braking, lane-keeping assistant, driver fatigue detection, traffic sign recognition and an automatic parking system.

The VW mk7.5 is an easy to drive car so ‘If you roll this car then you’re a doff’

Introducing the 1.0 TSI R-Line, Volkswagen South Africa brings you its Polo range with a new engine as well.

The Polo 7 GTI 2017 model is one car South Africans will not get over anytime soon. It’s basically the modern BMW 325i.s “Gusheshe” that our fathers screamed at with excitement in the 90’s.
