The Polo 7 GTI 2017 model is one car South Africans will not get over anytime soon. It’s basically the modern BMW 325i.s “Gusheshe” that our fathers screamed at with excitement in the 90’s.

The Polo 7 GTI is a beaut, one for the books to be exact. The paint colour, the LED lights, the rims, its whole look and feel will have its owner with a smirk, especially in traffic. With a four cylinder 1.8-Litre turbocharged direct injection petrol engine it kicks out 141 kW of power at between 4 300 and 6 200 rpm from the 6-speed manual transmission. The 7-speed DSG transmission kicks out 5 400 to 6 200 rpm. It should be faster than its Polo 7 Rline sibling. The variations differ due to technical differences in the design of the transmissions. The same applies to the torque values: the DSG delivers a maximum torque of 250 Nm between 1 250 and 5 300 rpm whereas the manual gearbox version delivers 320 Nm between 1 450 and 4 200 rpm. Fortunately, the differences in torque have no effect on the vehicle's performance. Volkswagen claims fuel consumption to be at 5.6L/100 km with the 7-speed DSG and 6.0L/100km with the 6-speed manual. The Polo 7 GTI accelerates from 0 to 100

Introducing the 1.0 TSI R-Line, Volkswagen South Africa brings you its Polo range with a new engine as well.

The old VW Polo models are slowly fading out as Volkswagen stretches its R-Line. It comes with a new engine, a 1.0 TSI with an output of 81 kW and 200 Nm. It’s a front wheel drive via a 7-speed DSG Dual-clutch transmission. Volkswagen claims that the fuel consumption is at 4.4 L/100 km, they also included that it goes from 0/100 in 9.3 seconds to a top speed of 197 KPH. As always there are optional additional extras but the vehicle comes with electronic stability programme (ESP), dual front and side airbags, leather multi-function steering wheel, front fog lights, multi-function display, and the attractive R-Line bodykit. The R-Line package includes R-Line bumpers with a logo on the grille, sill extensions, rear diffuser with a chrome tailpipe exhaust and a rear spoiler in body colour. More than this, the Polo 1.0 TSI R-Line rides on 17-inch Serron alloy wheels. The Volkswagen Polo R-Line is priced at R290 200. The Polo R-Line comes standard with a Volkswagen
