Today is Africa Day and Rosebank College students are showing off their traditional attires.
Africa Day, formerly African Freedom Day and African
Liberation Day, is the annual commemoration of the foundation of the
Organisation of African Unity (OAU) on May 25, 1963.The Organisation of African
Unity is now known as the African Union. It is celebrated in various countries
on the African continent, as well as around the world.
Africa is known as the mother of human kind, and for that
very reason is why every African has a certain type of warmth within them.
Africa is beautiful and yet a diverse continent that houses the world’s kindest
and loving humans.
Being an African is
the more than just a feeling, its understanding that you were blessed with the
opportunity of living in the heart of the world. It is said that when you are born in Africa,
Africa is also born in you and so the love affair with your homeland begins
